Beginning therapy can be very intimidating. When times become difficult or challenging, just remember that you are not alone. I'd like to invite you to a completely judgement-free zone..a safe space to assist you in focusing on the process, rather than solely on the final outcome. It is more important to make small changes and persistent effort, over rapid or unrealistic results. The saying, "Rome wasn't built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour", rings true. Collaboratively, we can begin to lay the bricks that will build your foundation.
I assist seniors, adults, young adults, teens, children, couples and families, struggling with relationship/family conflicts, work/school related stress, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, anxiety and various mental health disorders. I use a person-centered approach, and utilize Acceptance & Commitment (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I prioritize meeting clients exactly where they are, and seek to gain a deep understanding of their experiences. I assist in uncovering their inner strengths through active listening, empathy and validation of their feelings. I offer coping skills/tools to navigate life's challenges, highlighting the resources/resilience that clients already possess.
